First Night in the Big Girl Bed !
Sally's bed was delivered and installed yesterday and we are all quite excited!
It's just stunning -- once again, here is a pic.

I was afraid it would really dwarf the room, but it doesn't at all -- in fact, it really creates a theme in the room and brings it all together. Plus, there's storage areas in the "tower" so that helps eliminate some of the stuff we had kind of lying around in bins on the floor.
Once I get her room set up properly, I'll take pix -- we are planning to update sallygrant.com images this weekend (along with many, many other things, including finishing our 2005 taxes!)
So last night was her first night in her big girl bed -- she slept soundly and of course we made a little padded board to enclose her on the one end that's open -- more to keep her confined in her bed rather than keep her from falling out.
Now it's time to get the crib ready for Sydney and finish up the nursery.
It's remarkable to me - how much more energy I have with this pregnancy. I was concerned that I would wear out more quickly with being pregnant and chasing a toddler...but at the end of every day, I feel great. I'm definitely not having to sleep as much or take daily naps like I did when I was pregnant with Sally.
Is it because I've only put on a fraction of the weight this time as opposed to what I gained with Sally?
Is it because I'm no longer in the "job" scene?
Is it because I absolutely LOVE what I do and follow my passions?
Is it because Andy is home and loving what he does too? (as opposed to that job-disguised-as-consulting-gig that he used to have)?
I don't know. I suppose it really doesn't matter. All that matters is I feel great and we are all loving life -- especially Sally's new school -- and we are having F U N !
:-)
