First Snow in Castle Rock
It's snowing!
What started out as a light rain soon progressed to a light sleet, then very gentle hail and now it
s full-out snowing!
The temperature is hovering at about 31-32 degrees, so it's accumulating on parked cars and in grass and mulch, but not on the streets.
Brrrr....
Fortunately, we winterized our sprinkler system just in time (this morning) and there's nothing else to do, really. Just pick up some de-icer for the car, and we're good to go. Thank heaven for heated car seats!
Sally is truly enjoying school, although she's having a bit of trouble sharing with one particular boy in her class named Chase. Otherwise, all is well on the education front.
Mommy had an OB appt today (just a quick one) and all is well. Big round belly (although much smaller than last time) is measuring perfectly, glucose test from last time checked out fine, and heartbeat was 130 bpm (perfectly normal). Hooray!
They're supposed to call me this week and let me know what time my c-section is "tentatively" scheduled for on Nov. 29th. Doc says usually they can get you in within 8 hours of that. Seems like more of a suggestion than an actual appointment. But hey, whatever, so long as the kid's healthy and I get a private room for the 4 days I'm there, that's all I really care about.
We found a yummy Indian restaurant today -- I don't think we've had Indian food in about a year or so, so that was quite a treat.
Oh, I almost forgot to mention -- Aunt Susu and Uncle Harry sent us a beautiful and deep-toned Gregorian windchime as a housewarming gift. It sounds just lovely and hangs on our back deck over the BBQ grill. Thanks so much!
